This is by far our best brew to date even with the crazy brew day antics. There is a lovely hop aroma upfront that hits your nose as you go in for a taste. Initial thoughts will be that it's over hopped due to the aroma. However, the aroma subsides in the flavor and gives a nice floral taste but doesn't over power the malty flavor of the IPA. There is a nice balance between the malt backbone of what I would expect form an IPA and the bitterness from the hops. The body feel of this BIPA is closer to a stout but doesn't take away from the IPA characteristics.
We will be submitting this into the Left Coast Brewing Co. homebrew competition and will update with the professional brewers tasting notes on the brew.
